The Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology (OTAT) program at MTIMS prepares students to work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures. The curriculum covers operating theatre management, infection control, surgical instrumentation, anesthesia techniques, patient positioning, emergency care, and monitoring vital signs.
Students receive real-time exposure in modern operating theatres, learning how to set up surgical equipment, assist in anesthesia administration, maintain sterile conditions, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure. Training also includes pre-operative and post-operative care, instrument sterilization, and OT workflow management.
Graduates can pursue careers in hospitals, surgical centers, trauma units, emergency care departments, and specialty clinics. MTIMS provides expert faculty guidance, advanced infrastructure, and practical clinical training to help students excel in the surgical care environment.
