Optometry

The Optometry program at MTIMS prepares students to become skilled eye-care professionals who help diagnose, manage, and correct vision-related issues. The curriculum includes visual acuity testing, refraction, contact lens fitting, binocular vision assessment, optical dispensing, low-vision care, and the use of advanced ophthalmic instruments.

Students gain hands-on experience in modern eye clinics and laboratories, learning to perform comprehensive eye examinations, operate diagnostic devices, and assist ophthalmologists in patient care. The program also builds strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, optics, diseases of the eye, and preventive eye health.
